Here are links to some of my friend's sites, or other links that I think just happen to be cool or influential.

Don Mock/Guitaraxis

Well, here it is... the one place that you can finally buy any of those cool REH videos, by the people that make them (Roger Hutchinson and Don Mock). Don and my dad played together in the 70's, and I've been fortunate enough to be able to study with Don off and on over the years. He has definitely helped me break through some barriers in my playing.

Guitar Axis is a cool site, especially if Don gets his Lesson of the Week idea implemented. He's a great teacher, and takes a lot of mystery out of guitar playing.

Kevin Callahan

Kevin has been the guy that taught me most about playing my instrument. He is by far one of the most amazing musicians I've ever met. He grew up playing a lot of Jeff Beck and fusion stuff, and then migrated to classical. He is one of Sergio and Odair Assad's favorite guitar players in the world. Unfortunately, he's too damn smart for his own good and loves software development and consulting almost as much as music. If he does release his modern-Classical album, you'll be most amazed.

Soldano Custom Amplification

Excellent high-end guitar amplification. What else can I say? The boys at Soldano are great at what they do. Sean Ballou (VP) has helped me tremendously over the years, and has really helped turn my hands and ears onto some really great gear and has been very influential in helping me discover my own tone.

Rich Dangel

One of the NorthWest's greatest guitar players. People used to come into the Scarlet Tree after their own concerts and watch Richard play. Rich was a great teacher, friend, and just an amazing guitar player. Rich just exuded "cool", and was just a totally hip, tasty, cool player.

Richards obituary from the Seattle Times.

Carl Burnett

Carl was just about the only person that I knew down in Los Angeles when I moved from Seattle. Carl has played with so many folks, including just finishing up a stint with Robben Ford (hopefully to be resumed in Fall 2000). Carl is just amazing. He is a minimalist (having the ability to play lots of cool notes, but really just playing the notes that count), and he reallly is at one with his instrument. His motto is "Sensibility and Groove", and it shows in his playing. He's worked with Dave Sanborn, George Howard, Larry Graham, Buckshot LeFonque (Branford Marsalis).

Hiram Bullock

Hiram has been one of my biggest influences in the last several years. Great groove, great guitarist.

The Brothers Thick
This is my band in Los Angeles. We back artists and also play covers and original music. This band kicks ass, and if you are an artist and you want to put your best foot forward on a tour, a showcase, or a studio situation, you should hire us - the advantage you get is a group of guys who are greaet friends, we play together a LOT, and each musician is outstanding is his own right - this gives you an upper edge because the band is a COHESIVE UNIT, and not a bunch of great musicians that are just thrown together as an impromtu backing unit. Specializing in Funk, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Funk/Jazz, and Rap.
